It’s not always about the Shows

As many of you may have recognized, it’s Fashion Week here in Berlin.
The city is vibrant and the dynamic is on it’s highest. There’s so much to see and to experience.
Visiting Exhibitions such as PREMIUM, SEEK or PANORAMA here in Berlin, attending Fashion Shows of designers and having the chance to connect and meet new people.

I wanted to focus on more than shows and fancy drinks. I wanted to experience a completely different Fashion Week as I did a year ago for example. I wanted to meet the people behind all the glitter and light.

I was very thrilled and excited to be invited to the Sustainable Fashion Event, powered by the Swedish Embassy of Berlin and the Swedish Fashion Council in general.

Elin Larsson from Filippa K, Hendrik Heuermann from H&M Germany and Andreas Åhrman from Nudie Jeans were invited to talk about Sustainability in their own companies.

It was a tremendously joyful atmosphere during the whole evening and I really enjoyed this event.
It is definitely one of my highlights of this year’s fashion week, to see that it is not all about the shows, but meeting the stories and people behind.

Wie viele von Euch mitbekommen haben, ist momentan Fashion Week in Berlin.
Die Stadt bebt und ist voll mit interessanten Menschen.
Berlin bietet Messen wie die PREMIUM, SEEK oder die PANORAMA.
Neben den Fashion Shows der Designer bekommt man auf vielen Events noch die Möglichkeit neue Menschen kennen zu lernen und sich mit diesen aus zu tauschen.

Ich wollte mich dieses Jahr mehr auf das austauschen konzentrieren, anstatt von einer Show zur anderen zu gehen. Ich wollte dieses Jahr die Leute hinter den Kulissen kennen lernen und mehr über den Hintergrund erfahren.

Ich war sehr aufgeregt und glücklich als Ich zum Nachhaltigkeits Event der Schwedischen Botschaft in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Swedish Fashion Council eingeladen wurde.

Elin Larsson von Filippa K, Hendrik Heuermann von H&M Deutschland und Andreas Åhrman von Nudie Jeans waren eingeladen, um über nachhaltigere Mode in den eigenen Firmen zu reden.

Es war ein rundum gelungener Abend. Die Atmosphäre war mehr als entspannt und nett und es war definitiv ein Highlight der diesjährigen Fashionweek für mich.
Für mich steht eins fest: Es geht nicht immer nur alles um die Shows, sondern auch um die Menschen und Geschichten dahinter.
