I’m back from my long Easter weekend break with some amazing news. Men’s luxury online retailer MR PORTER and Italian fashion house Gucci have teamed up to launch an exclusive capsule collection on May 18.
Under the creative direction of Gucci’s Alessandro Michele, the 43-piece collection will be inspired by urbanism and self-expression, anchored in classic tailoring silhouettes and eccentric sportswear.
The assortment will feature various ready-to-wear styles, in addition to shoes and accessories, infusing Gucci’s rich textures and fabrications in a vivid colorpalette of yellows and oranges, Bordeaux reds and azure blues.
Of course, a Gucci collection wouldn’t be a real Gucci collection without its iconic motifs. Therefore motifs such as the bee and tiger, as well as newer additions such as the skeleton and the cat are predominant throughout, playfully emblazoned across the body of a blazer or the pocket of a pair of washed jeans.
Get yourself a Gucci moment and have a look through the stand out pieces, including a lilac fil coupé shirt, a yard wool jacquard bee crewneck sweater, a blueberry-colored technical jersey zipped jacket with paisley print and embroidered tiger or a pair of iconic horse bit loafers in a GG wallpaper print.
